Focus on What You Can Control

When life feels like too much, sorting your worries into two lists can bring back a little peace.

When everything feels uncertain, it’s natural to try to hold it all at once. But some of what we carry was never ours to fix.

Make two lists

Take a page and draw a line down the middle. On one side, write what you can control: your words, your next step, how you rest, who you ask for help. On the other, write what you can’t: other people’s choices, the weather, the past.

Now look at the first list. That’s where your energy belongs. The second list? You’re allowed to set it down, even just for today.

Small steps on the things you can change add up. Keep going. The best is still ahead.
